Editorial Campaign

Our campaign will run from June – October 2023. Provided below for each month shows when our Wisdom with Western series will be posted each week. Key dates in relation to the Creative Industries stream are also included as we aim to publish our content on our platforms for content creation. For instance: July 21st shows ‘Multicultural Day’. As our target audience is for future international students as well, we will be posting a Wisdom with Western Series of a WSU CI Alumi sharing their experience studying Creative Industries abroad with Western Sydney University. 

The editorial calendar for each month will show the overarching goal of the campaign. It will be focusing on our seasonal events, season key dates and our target market. 

1st Month

June 2023

June will be the beginning of our campaign. We will be sending social media posts informing the target audience of the campaign and what they can expect. The posts shared during June will also have visually appealing images and videos that attract the attention of our target audience and increase curiosity about the campaign. We will also promote the Wisdom for Western campaign with a unique hashtag throughout June so the audience can easily find posts which help the campaign reach a wider audience.

2nd Month

July 2023

The most successful people don’t look back to see who’s watching. Look for opportunities to lift others up along the way.

3RD Month

August 2023

During August, similar marketing activities will be undertaken as done in the previous months. Social platforms Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn will be saturated with content, marketing the WisdomWithWestern campaign. Updates of special guests such as James Roper, WSU Creative Industries (Creative Writing & Social Cultural Analysis) graduate will be made. Thursday’s are reserved for the operation of the WisdomWithWestern segment, with minimal activity on the day. Friday’s have been reserved for Hootsuite scheduling and planning, to ensure organisation and time management, guaranteeing streamlined messaging across platforms.

4th Month

September 2023

September will be the focus of our Twitter promotions. Starting from September 13 (Wednesday), Our Twitter posts and paid advertisements will run for an entire week, which will be promoting the campaign. Along with other social media platforms that we are using for this campaign, twitter is another main platform that we will be focusing on with the promotion of our campaign posts as Twitter is commonly used by students and young adults. We hope to reach our target audience and spread the campaign through the use of the hashtag #WisdomWithWestern!

5th Month

October 2023

October will be the focus of our campaign as this is the time and period when high school leavers will do their UAC selections. Key dates are also added in for the UAC round selections and international student application deadlines.
